It’s A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

Can’t you just hear Mr. Rogers now? Or am I dating myself? Either way, it is a beautiful day in my neighborhood! I LOVE where I live and it occurred to me I should join up with the “Lately” link up and share those weekly reasons why my life here is so wonderful. I also think this could be a great way to stay positive and prevent that “expat funk” from setting in as we all know it can sneak up on you!

This is my past Saturday: waking up hearing hot air balloons over my roof {yes, they were so low I could hear them and you could see others in the distance}

then shopping with my two boys in the beautiful Trier Hauptmarkt….

Life is all what you make of it and lately, I’ve made it pretty wonderful. Happy Friday!

    I’ve wanted to go to Trier for ages, and your photos have just confirmed that I REALLY want to go! beautiful.

  4. What lovely air balloons! I didn’t realize they made so much noise! They have a hot air balloon festival a few towns away that we have been meaning to go to. Just seeing your photos have me convinced-they look so beautiful!

    • Haha! I was in my son’s room and couldn’t figure out what I was hearing. It’s a hard noise to describe,but you know the sound I’m referring to….well the balloon was so close I’m sure I could’ve spoken to him! On those “close up” pictures I’ve shown, I’m not using zoom!

  5. I can’t wait to get back to Trier! You are so incredibly lucky to live in such a beautiful area.

  6. Definitely a gorgeous day. I’m loving all of those flowers!

    Great pictures! We see a lot of hot air balloons in our neighborhood, too. After we moved in last year, we thought there was some sort of event, but we’ve since learned that we’re just on a popular ballooning path through the province.
    And you’re town is beautiful - what a nice looking place to live!

    Hi Deanna! Thank you so much for stopping by and being a new follower! I used to live in Trier for 12 years!!! You still live there? I will move to El Dorado/Arkansas early next year though… Currently I’m in Fuerth, Bavaria. I follow your blog for a few weeks now and love the pics of my old “hood” lol

I truly value my readers and will always respond to your comments. So, let me know what you think!
