We Interrupt Your Regularly Scheduled Program

Yes I am still alive although I feel like death. On Monday, I was told that my sweet dog Snicker, who was back in the states, had died. That same day my son came down with a terrible cold. The next day, so did I. It’s by far one of the worst colds I’ve had in awhile and it’s lingering. I had some great plans for posts this week, but they will have to wait.

I appreciate all of those who have reached out to check on me. I’m sorry for the radio silence and am afraid it will have to continue until I’m better. Until then, hope you all are having a great week and I hope this cold/flu skips your house!

I’m so sorry to hear about your dog back home :( And I hate when a bad cold comes and totally ruins all of your plans. I hope you and your little mister are snuggling down and watching mindless television and enjoying lots of junk food. It’s really the only good thing about getting sick.

Thanks Allison. :-) Sadly, the cold has ruined our appetites but we have had some good snuggle time. He seems to be on the mend and is thankfully playing on his own today and letting me rest. :-)

    Get well soon!!
I am fighting a cold for more than 2 weeks now and I’m on my 2nd antibiotic… Those fellas are bitches these days!!!

Keep your head up and enjoy the snuggle time! I’m back at work since yesterday and pretty jealous ;)

I am so sorry about Snicker. Aside from missing our extended human family, I think having to leave our canine, feline (and any other pet!) family members is the worse thing about being an expat. I hope you both feel better soon … and your husband doesn’t catch it!

Get better soon! What a horrible week, i’m sorry to hear about your dog too :( I’m sitting in a train from Düsseldorf to back home - got another hour yet. Hope there is good stuff on tv right now but its probably a mixture of court shows, zoo shows and soap operas :/

Thanks! It definitely hasn’t been the week I had in mind. :-( Were you there for work? Have a good trip….I opened up my Bloglovin reader and have 825 unread blogs! Lol Seriously people? Stop writing already! :-) I guess many, many of those will have to go unread in order for me to “catch up”.

So sory for your loss! I remember when I got the news that our family dog had been put down. Devastating!

I hope you all recover from your cold/flu soon! My colleague has been sneezing all morning and I’m convinced I can SMELL the germs filling our office…

It’s so sad. Our pets are part of our families. :-(

Haha! Well steer clear! This one is a beast and lingers. My son started getting sick on Sunday and he’s better today, but still have the cough and sniffles. Ugh.

Oh, you poor dear! I hope you and the little guy start feeling more like yourselves.
And I’m sorry about Snickers. It’s difficult to lose a pet, they’re so much a part of the family. Keep thinking about the happy memories. =)

Gute Besserung, dear… and welcome to the Sickvil. My husband and I have been living in the bed coughing and sneezing for two weeks already. But it will get better, promise.
